I enjoy employing a variety of different design techniques including mostly UI / UX design, and a small amount of 3D design. I would say one of  my best characteristics would be my drive to find new ways to design things, and while this may make it hard to start new projects, the end product will surely be something that I couldn’t have expected from the start. Working with design in a way that can allow me to adapt with a design is what I truly strive for. Hopefully the subsequent designs on this website will display this skill.

Primal Vinyl

About the Project
Over the past ten years, vinyl albums have been growing in popularity, especially among young adults. This project fits within this booming trend and the broader entertainment and music industry.

People that typically engage with record stores are music lovers, vinyl collectors, hobbyists, music producers, and plenty more. However, common aspects are missing from records that would significantly improve the customer’s experience. When people visit a record store, they usually want to relax and connect with similar interests or hobbies. However, most record stores don’t provide an adequate environment for customers to do so. This project presents a record store that actively welcomes the community. This is done by handing out loyalty cards, having a welcoming environment that appeals to a wide range of ages and tastes and hosting community events.

The loyalty cards are a way for the store to entice customers to visit frequently. After every purchase, a mark is crossed off on their loyalty card. Once the customer reaches a certain amount of stamps on their card, they receive a free vinyl as a thank you for being a loyal customer. The aesthetic of the brand is also designed to be appealing and welcoming to any customer that might visit. The colors, logo, and overall style are designed to appeal to a wide variety of personal tastes. This is done to attract most customers while offering an enjoyable environment for all music lovers. Lastly, the store hosts community events to promote a sense of community within the local music industry. An example is the genre night event. Each genre night focuses on a different music genre: country, pop, rock & roll.
