BFA in Studio Art, Graphic Design emphasisI have always been extremely intrigued by the idea of influencing someone’s ideas of the world through a piece of artwork. I do genuinely believe that you can change the world with art and music because that is how you reach inside people.
My goal as a graphic designer is to garner emotional reactions from viewers. I also want it to go deeper than surface level to something meaningfull and worth discussing. Being a designer is like haveing a super power: you can show people the world in a different way from what they are used to.

About the Project
Recently, more than ever, I have been feeling frustrated with how we as a population are dealing (or not dealing) with climate change. I am tired of seeing ‘cutesy’ little messages reminding us to recycle or showing a sad polar bear on top of a small ice cap. It’s time for a change in approach. For my project, I wanted to take a more stressful approach to the issue while still giving people a resource for information. The idea was to create animated, attention-grabbing posters that could be placed throughout major cities, with a website link that viewers could go for more information.
