BFA in Studio Art, Graphic Design emphasis

I am an Allendale, MI native that grew up with a love for art and decided to turn that love into a career. While pursuing my education in Graphic Design, for the past four years I have had the opportunity to blend my passion for design and love for sports with her employment in the GVSU Athletic department. It was here that I gained many skills that have helped me as a designer, specifically project management, client communication and remote work. In addition to the design opportunities I have had within the university setting, I have also been able to use my design skills to help with many projects around my Church. Through these opportunities I have gained more real-world experience with working with clients, including professional communication, holding meetings, and sending virtual proofs. After graduation, I would like to be a graphic designer for a collegiate football program, but would ultimately enjoy being anywhere with an energetic atmosphere, where the work is fast-paced and there’s always an opportunity to try something new.

Created Grace

About the Project
We can be called many names in this world, but the one we should hold closest to our hearts is the name by which God calls us. Each of our names in an essence unifies us with the Holy Spirit. For example, the Holy Spirit is uncreated, the original immaculate conception, while Mary the Mother of God is the created Immaculate conception. This is Mary being called by God’s name. My name, Hannah, means favor or grace. A simple elegance, courteous to do goodwill. Grace is a gift given by our heavenly father and when used in scripture refers to the power and spiritual healing through love and mercy of Jesus. Created Grace, this is me being called by God’s name.

Created Grace is a Catholic Apparel Company created out of thanksgiving for the Grace (Love and Mercy) that God has shown me and the desire I have to share it with others. I desire to share the passion I have about my home in the Catholic Church with others that have the same passion. Showing others that being fearlessly authentic is as external as it is internal, your faith shouldn’t be something you feel that you need to hold back from or hide from others. A way to embrace the truths God speaks into our hearts each day as He calls us by His name.
