It’s so important to me that you find passion and love in everything you do, and I truly do love doing design work. I’ve been lucky enough to get to choose a career path that allows me to continue to explore this passion. In my time at GVSU, I was in marching band and pep band all four years. I also served as the Director of Graphic Design for the Campus Activity Board for two years and worked on projects like GVSU’s Spring Concert, Presidents' Ball, and a ton of events around campus.

About the Project
The theme of this project is punk music, specifically focused on women in the punk scene. I chose to do a project like this because it let me combine two of my passions, design and punk music. The purpose of the work was to explore what design in punk genres can look like, and build off of existing styles from early garage rock music to 90s grunge - and tie all of that together with a more contemporary feel as well. I looked at themes within punk music, which tends to all be backed by political ideology and social movements, and related that to bands and concerts I’ve attended. I wanted to create a band that promoted self acceptance which I felt was more fitting for a female-fronted band.
