BFA in Studio Art, Graphic Design emphasis
Kingston University, Art study abroad program

I am a Michigan native with a creative and curious soul. I am currently in the home run stretch of getting my BFA in Studio Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design at Grand Valley State University. I am also an alumni of Kingston University in London. I have a passion for nature and seeing all that the world has to offer. When I am not designing I am probably out with my dogs in nature or sitting in a local café with a friend. Let’s get a cup of coffee and make something inspired.

About the Project
The main objective of this project was to marry the ideas of small town people and modern trends. Upcoming trends of healthy living, mental health awareness, remote working, veganism, fair-trade, organic food, and being conscious of your impact are growing considerably more popular through the years.

I wanted to create a home away from home, a calming place. The goal in my mind was to mimic those intimate early mornings with coffee by the fireplace, or an early morning walk on the beach. A small beach town feel with big dreams and big impacts. I wanted to make it personal to me so that it felt more authentic. I did so by incorporating in my family memories to resonate with a homey small town feel with tied to the west Michigan area and historical connections to my family. The aesthetic also gives a nod to beach and surf culture which is what my big day dream world consists of.
